Lindsay Loahn Is ‘Hiding,’ Not In Rehab

Despite the mass of reports claiming Lindsay Lohan hit rehab following her arrest for DUI and possession, the actress is reportedly staying in "a safe place," as safe as Chateau Marmont, PerezHilton.com reported. After two stints in rehab this year, she probably needs even more help.

It was just a matter of time before Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, would speak about her daughter’s second arrest this year.

"I am sick over this. My children, my family -- we are like prisoners in our own home because paparazzi is staked outside. Lindsay is in a safe place and we are trying to strategically work out our next step. We are doing everything in our power in support of Lindsay. And I won't give up. This is my daughter and we love her. We are waiting for the press frenzy to die down and leave her alone. Please respect our privacy," she told The Insider.

The 21-year-old rising actress has seriously jeopardized her career after the police arrested her again on Tuesday morning (at approximately 2:00 AM) for allegedly driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and for cocaine possession.

Last week, the star accompanied by her lawyer, turned herself into the Beverly Hills Police Station to be officially booked for her traffic violation in May, and the District Attorney's office was expected to formally charge her on Monday.

On July 13, Lohan completed a 45-day program at the Promises rehabilitation center in Malibu, and checked out wearing an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet, which apparently failed to keep her sober until the end. In fact, her trip to rehab raised new questions whether it was for real or not.

"It's a trip to the spa," said Ken Seeley, an intervention specialist on A&E's popular TV series "Intervention."

"These girls (including Britney Spears) are going in there, doing their time, but they're doing it with their arms crossed. They're not surrendering to the treatment. So they come out and embarrass themselves again."

Although Hollywood insiders believe this could mean the end for Lindsay’s acting career, claiming no one will hire her now, the producers of her new movie “Dare to Love Me,” showed their support to the perpetually troubled star.

"Bowline Entertainment is standing behind Lindsay. Lindsay is insured for the movie as of now."
