On Monday, ABC informed that Grammy-award winning rapper Lil' Kim, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor would take on the floor of the „Dancing With The Stars” television show when the latter returned for the eighth season, which has been scheduled to premiere on March 9.
The aforementioned will be joined by real-life couples such as rodeo athlete Ty Murray and wife Jewel and country star Chuck Wicks and his girlfriend Julianne Hough, who is a two-time DWTS champion.
Moreover, among the thirteen stars that would make a dazzling appearance for the show’s eighth season this spring are former Apple executive Steve Wozniak, actress Denise Richards, 1980s pop singer Belinda Carlisle, „Sex and the City” actor Gilles Marini, celebrity reporter Nancy O'Dell, Steve-O and David Alan Grier.
As for the competitors, Shawn Johnson, 17, who won an Olympic gold medal at the Beijing games in 2008, is the youngest contender to be returning to the show in March, which will kick off with a two-hour season premiere.
Singer-actress Lil’ Kim, 33, served time in prison back in 2005, after a jury ruled that she had been guilty of perjury and conspiracy for having lied with regards to the involvement of her friends in a 2001 shooting that had taken place in New York.
Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor, who led the team to two Super Bowl titles, has also pursued careers in acting and writing, having written two books and appeared in several movies.
