Trying to make things a little better for little Matilda
Ledger, Heath Ledger’s daughter, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell will
donate their earnings from the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus to her,
news reports were saying on Tuesday.
Ledger had started filming the fantasy movie when he died
from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January. The three stars
stepped in to fill Ledger's role when filming resumed in March.
They decided to donate their fees to his daughter after discovering that she
was left out of his will.
"They didn't take money - it goes to Heath's daughter," director
Terry Gilliam told Britain's
The Sun newspaper.
"That's extraordinary! And wonderful ... and when you're part of that, you
think, 'Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I
thought it would be full of wonderful people'."
Gilliam said: "We've got a movie full of wonderful people who did
extraordinary things to help."
