Led Zeppelin Will “Rock” Their Fans One More Time

Millions of fans will be able to meet their gods coming Monday, at London’s O2 Arena, when Led Zeppelin will reunite for the first time since 1980 for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert.

The three remaining members of the band, singer Robert Plant, 59, guitarist Jimmy Page, 63 and Bassist John Paul Jones together with drummer Jason Bonham, son of the fourth original band member John will enchant hundreds of people madly in love with their heavy metal.

The band is known to have been the world’s biggest rock group in 1970s when their albums sold in 300 million copies. The announce made the ticket Website crash as millions of fans tried to be there for the tribute concert of Ahmet Ertegun, who signed the band in 1968. It was a great year for rock music as it was blessed with such gifted band that drove crazy millions of people around the world.

The band lasted for 12 years together, when first John Bonham choked to death on his own vomit after a drinking binge. In all this time, they evolved from rhythm and blues to hard rock and heavy metal. Songs like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love” and “Communication Breakdown” have been on the lips of their fans since their first time on the market.

Led Zeppelin’s eight studio albums are still in fashion, millions of fans listening to classics like “Kashmir,” “Black Dog,” “Rock and Roll” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”

Despite their unfortunate breaking, the band still stayed in touch with music. Plant and Page even worked together in the mid-1980s and 1990s.

Whether or not, the concert from London will be the beginning of a new era for Led Zeppelin and also the beginning of a new tour for them, this will remain to be seen.

"Let's just do the O2 (on Monday) and we'll see what happens from there. I haven't got a crystal ball here and nor have you," Page said, according to Reuters.

"The reality is Zeppelin has not agreed to a tour. They want to play this show and see how it goes, how it feels, and then go from there. There's nothing firm yet, but maybe afterward," said Randy Phillips, chief executive of AEG Live, the concert promotion company that runs O2.

Monday’s concert won’t be the first time when the band is reunited but it will be the biggest reunion of all times.
