Lakers And Spurs Are On A Mission

Tonight’s game will take us to the Western Conference finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers. The first game was won by the Lakers, after being led with 20 points in the third quarter.

The first game ended 89 – 85 and it was an enormous confidence boost for L.A.’s players.

“When you’re able to do something that’s not easy to do, that you’ve had to work as hard as you’ve ever worked to do it, there’s an appreciation, there’s a confidence that comes,” Fisher said, according to the New York Times. “We did that last night,” he added.

Kobe Bryant had only two points in the first half and the way the game went, it seemed like a clear victory for the Spurs. In the second half, the season’s MVP exploded and scored the rest of his 27 points, managing to put his team with four points ahead of San Antonio.

Pau Gasol had 19 points and seven rebounds, Lamar Odom had 8 points and 8 rebounds, Sasha Vujacic and Vladimir Radmanovic each had 10 points.

Tim Duncan also had a good night with 30 points and 18 rebounds, Tony Parker added 18 points and 6 assists, Bruce Bowen had 12 points and Manu Ginobili had 10.

Tonight’s game, the series’ second, will present two teams on a mission, both looking to get closer to the Main Event and ready to give it all on the court.
