Lair, the latest game released for Sony’s gaming platform,
is not all about fantasy and dragons. It’s also one of the first games to take
full advantage of technical specs offered by PS3.
"Lair showcases the advanced power and technology of
PS3 through a combination of next-generation elements, including stunningly
realistic graphics, a moving soundtrack, and full support of SIXAXIS,"
said Jeff Reese, director, software marketing, SCEA. "When you pair all of
these features with an epic storyline, action-packed gameplay, and beautifully rendered
cinematics, Lair delivers a unique experience that will appeal to users of all
types, from hardcore to more casual players. Lair is truly raising the bar to
unlock PS3's full potential."
In Lair, you will have to assume the role of warrior named
Rohn, who rides a powerful dragon as part of the Asylian army's elite Sky
Guard. As you can imagine, every hero needs some villains and a civilization in
need to be saved, so Rohn will be engaged in a battle to stop the war-hungry Mokai
and save the Asylian civilization, facing legions of soldiers and massive
creatures in intense boss battles.
As your main ally will be the dragon, you can expect a lot
of aerial combats against other dragons, in which you ability to maneuver the
SIXAXIS controller will make the difference.
Also, as the game follows the story’s lead, players will unlock
new combos, upgrades and other gameplay elements, along with a vast array of extras
including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and developer commentary on this
fully-packed Blu-Ray Disc.
As Sony said, Lair is one of the first 1080p native
resolution games on the market, delivering jaw-dropping visuals at
30-frames-per-second and a true uncompressed 7.1 surround sound.
Also you will be able to compare your statistics against
other users via the online leaderboards and eventually exchange tips on how to
achieve even higher medals on the online forums.
