LAPD Considering Britney Drugging Allegations

Los Angeles police are apparently “considering” allegations that Britney Spears was drugged but no official investigation has been initiated – yet.

Court documents were revealed earlier this month, disclosing to the world Lynne Spears’ allegations against Sam Lutfi, the man that showed up in Britney’s life some months ago and proceeded to call himself her friend and manager.

In seeking a temporary restraining order against Lutfi, Lynne filed a request describing the reasons why the 32-year-old man should not be allowed to approach her daughter in any way and among them are claims that he drugged the 26-year-old singer and isolated her from the world.

Earlier this week Los Angeles police said they were looking into allegations that someone drugged Britney but a decision regarding a formal investigation had not been made yet.

Police Capt. Kyle Jackson said in a statement Wednesday that the allegations “are being considered” by the Robbery-Homicide unit to determine if laws have been violated.

“Particular suspects have not yet been fully identified nor has a formal investigation into open charges officially commenced,” Jackson added. “At this time, we don't know whether or not a formal investigation will be initiated.”

The 6-page declaration from Lynne Spears stated that Britney met Lutfi in October 2007 and that since then, “Mr. Lutfi has essentially moved into Britney's home and has purported to take control of her life, home and finances.”

“Mr. Lutfi drugged Britney, he has cut Britney's home phone lines and removed her cell phone chargers. He yells at her. He claims to control everything—Britney's business manager, her attorneys and the security guards at the gate,” Lynne declares.

Lynne goes on to describe how Lutfi appears have control over paparazzi in Britney’s house, allowing them inside, giving orders etc. she also portrayed him as being verbally and emotionally abusive towards the young mother of two.

A temporary restraining order was indeed issued against Sam Lutfi and it was also extended to March 17. He is not allowed to contact the singer in any way, directly or indirectly.

Britney Spears is currently under a court-ordered conservatorship.
