The paparazzi are becoming more and more bold and aggressive with celebrities. The stars decided to take some action against them but officials said that the problem wasn't with the paparazzi but with the stars who offer them material and opportunities. According to Reuters, Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton said that if celebrities acted in a decent way, there would be no more interesting subjects for photographers.

The proposal which was designed to establish a limit between paparazzi and celebrities was not at all sustained by William Bratton. While Councilman Dennis Zine says that paparazzi need to keep their distance from celebrities, mentioning Britney Spears and other celebrities who can’t take a step without the paparazzi swarming around them, Bratton says that celebrities should behave themselves.

“If celebrities behave themselves, that solves about 90 percent of the problem. Britney, the last couple of days, has started wearing clothes again. The paparazzi are leaving town because she's not as interesting when she's not running around without her underwear on,” said Bratton, according to CNN.

Bratton also mentioned Lindsay Lohan, who “evidently found a new love life” and was somewhere in New York, and Paris Hilton who has “disappeared from the scene.”

On the other hand, Dennis Zine said that the paparazzi were “like a pack of wolves stalking their prey, creating havoc in the streets and are nuisances to innocent bystanders.” He was also the one who convened the hearing in order to “hear testimony from key stakeholders to develop proposals to consider in the legislative process,” which was attended by Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca, officials from West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Malibu and celebrities including Mayer and actor Eric Roberts.

Apparently no one seems to hold the truth here, because the situation is not at all black and white. Even if celebrities behave, there will always be situations when things get out of control like in the most notorious incident involving the two parts, Princess Diana’s death which was apparently caused by the attempt to get away from the paparazzi. Another example is that of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who had their property trespassed by paparazzi, just to get some photos. It seems that in both cases, celebrities did behave but things still got out of hand.
