Kirsten Dunst is now safe. The 26-year-old actress was granted a permanent protective order against an alleged stalker who apparently paid an unexpected and unwelcome visit to Kirsten Dunst’s Hollywood home admitting a “spiritual connection” with the “Bring It On” star.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard E. Rico forbade 25-year-old Christopher Smith to come near the actress, her personal assistant, as well as her residences and her workplaces. In addition, the Los Angeles native was also barred from owning or carrying a gun.
Kirsten Dunst did not attend Monday’s court hearing and her request was granted without her legal representative or witnesses having to make arguments. Christopher Smith did not appear during the hearing either and failed to respond to a provisional restraining order the actress received a couple of months ago.
Kirsten Dunst, who starred in three “Spider-Man” movies, first went to court after Christopher Smith visited her on Thanksgiving. She explained that he revealed “aggressive” and “harassing” behavior, claiming that they had some kind of “spiritual connection” between them, in spite of the fact that they had never met before.
She said that she was “quite frightened” of the 25-year-old, who was arrested by Kirsten Dunst’s assistant last month after trespassing at her home.
Kirsten Dunst became famous when she was cast as Mary Jane Watson in the “Spider-Man” films. Since then, she has played the title role in Sofia Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette” and “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People.” The actress will star next in the 2009 movies “All Good Things” and “Sweet Relief.”
