Voluptuous reality television starlet Kim Kardashian has
been eliminated from ABC’s dancing competition along with professional dancing
partner Mark Ballas, one week into the seventh season.
Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas failed to impress the judges
with their rumba routine and received a modest 17 out of 30 points, becoming
the third couple to be eliminated from the show on Tuesday.
The first two couples to leave were comedian Jeffrey Ross
and his professional partner Edyta Śliwińska and television actor Ted McGinley
and partner Inna Brayer.
Kim Kardashian, 27, said she had tried her best during the
competition and that she was certain she had made her father, late attorney
Robert Kardashian, proud of her. It was an commemoration of sorts for the
reality starlet as her dad passed away exactly five years ago.
Kardashian was not eliminated for lack of trying. She and
Mark Ballas went through painstaking rehearsals and she certainly has been an
eyeful on the show, what with her trademark curvaceous figure.
Kardashian also obviously has the stamina to keep up such
strenuous physical effort, considering she released “Workout with Kim
Kardashian,” a workout DVD, in May.
The one thing that seems to have stood between her and
success? Stepdad Bruce Jenner told People magazine that the starlet has one
lesser-known trait: she is shy. This may have prevented her from being more
flamboyant on the dance floor. Had she made it through another couple of weeks,
who knows what talented dancer may have blossomed out of her.
While Kim Kardashian has left the game, other celebrities remaining
to hoof it out among themselves are actress Brooke Burke, former Oakland
Raiders defensive lineman Warren Sapp, actresses Cloris Leachman and Susan
Lucci and actor Cody Linley, Olympic gold medalists Maurice Greene and Misty
May-Treanor, singers Lance Bass and Toni Braxton and celebrity chef Rocco
DiSpirito.
