Looks like Jessica Simpson’s new fuller figure is causing quite a stir among Hollywood celebrities, who are taking rounds speaking in her defense over the media scrutiny she’s been facing lately for packing up several pounds.

First it was Jessica Simpson’s younger sister Ashlee, who took it on her blog to express her deep disgust with the tabloids and celebrity blogs for making the subject of Jessica’s new body newsworthy.

Kim Kardashian, who is no stranger to barbs about her own curvy physique, also spoke out in Jessica’s defense.

“Call me crazy, but when I saw the picture [of Simpson performing Jan. 25 in Pembroke Pines, Fla.], I was like, 'Oh my God, Jessica looks hot!',” the 28-year-old told People exclusively. Moreover, she was very supportive of Simpson's outfit, which many critics slammed, blaming it for enhancing the singer’s new weight gain.

“I actually love the outfit. I think she looks amazing. I love high-waisted jeans, I loved that belt, and her hair looked fabulous,” she added, acknowledging that while Jessica did get curvier, she sees nothing wrong with that.

“It doesn't really bother me anymore. I love curves. Being super skinny just isn't attractive to me. When I saw that picture, I knew everyone was going to say something. And I thought, 'You know what? Leave Jessica alone!' She's fabulous, she's a really sweet girl, and I admire her for putting up with it,” Kardashian said, echoing Ashlee Simpson’s earlier plea to stop criticizing Jess.
