You would think he is too busy with his custody feud to make any more artistic endeavors, but no, there you have it: Kevin Federline will guest star in several upcoming episodes of “One Tree Hill.”
The former Mr. Spears will join Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty and Sophia Bush on the set of CW teen drama “One Tree Hill” for the show’s new series.
The network announced K-Fed’s imminent participation Monday. Says the release from CW: Kevin Federline will play “Jason, the cocky, enigmatic frontman for No Means Yes, a seminal rock band from the fictional town of Tree Hill.”
While there were no details about the fifth season premiere or the episodes when Federline will appear, the plan is to have him around for a while. He starts filming later this week in North Carolina, where the show is set.
K-Fed has been quite insistent in getting his face on the small screen. He starred with then-wife Britney Spears in a 2005 reality show titled “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic” (wasn’t that an ominous description for their relationship?).
He made a guest appearance on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in October 2006, that aired in the US and Canada and allowed viewers to se his talent at interpreting a street thug.
He also made an appearance on NBC’s “1 vs. 100” in December 2006.
As of late, the “Popozao” singer has been quite busy handing out deposition subpoenas to people in Britney’s entourage that could help him prove to the judge in charge of the case that his former wife is not a fit mother.
Federline filed for sole legal and physical custody of his sons earlier this month.
He has two other children, a girl and a boy, from a previous relationship with Shar Jackson. She was pregnant with their second child when he began his romance with Britney Spears, who had actually employed him as a backup dancer.
