In the issue of People magazine scheduled to hit the
newsstands on Thursday, Kevin Federline talks about his relationship with
ex-wife Britney Spears, their two children and the couple’s divorce, after Brit
herself offered her views on the aforementioned in her “For the Record”
documentary.
Federline revealed to People that his major concerns were
for his two children, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, stating that during
his divorce from Spears, he had told his lawyer he would spend all the money he
had if that meant his boys would be alright.
Moreover, K-Fed said he wished all the best to his ex-wife,
adding that he still loved her, even though he was no longer in love with her.
He even took upon himself part of the blame for their divorce, admitting he had
come to ignore Britney, because he was dedicating his time to their kids.
Nevertheless, Federline said that his wife’s filing for
divorce had completely surprised him, since he was really trying to make things
work between them and Brit only resolved to go behind his back and ask for a
legal separation.
In her turn, Spears stated in her “For the Record”
documentary, which aired Sunday night on MTV, that she had been taken aback by
the fact that her husband had left her. Furthermore, she reckoned that their
marriage had fallen apart because she had jumped to the decision without having
thought it through beforehand.
Britney celebrated her 27th birthday on December 2, while
her new album “Circus” was released that same day, marking her comeback on the
pop-music scene.
