Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, was arrested earlier this month for an incident in which she allegedly assaulted a gossip columnist in August 2008.
According to the Daily Mail and People magazine the confrontation took place at a London night club and it was caused apparently by the comments journalist Zoe Griffin made about Osbourne's fiance, model Luke Worrall.
Griffin related the incident for the UK newspaper The Mirror, explaining that it all started with a column she had written about Worrall, Kelly’s boyfriend, in which she underlined the fact that the19-year-old model was stupid, for not knowing what an earthquake was nor how it was caused.
According to the Mail, witnesses said Osbourne flew "into a rage” and approached Griffin at Punk nightclub last August to tell her that her boyfriend was not stupid and that he is very upset because people laughed at him thanks to her column.
But in spite of the fact that the journalist offered to do an interview with Worrall to highlight his accomplishments, Osbourne decided to take matters into her own hands and slapped her right cheek.
Therefore, the 24-year-old celebrity went to a London police station on the 2nd of January in response to the allegations of assaulting Zoe Griffin at the London nightclub Punk.
Although authorities wouldn't disclose her name, they released a statement about the incident confirming the fact that a 24-year-old woman attended a central London police station by appointment at 3 p.m. on the 2nd of January, to be eventually bailed out after the arrest on the condition to return to see authorities in March.
Less than a month earlier, Kelly’s mother, Sharon Osbourne was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly assaulting “Rock of Love: Charm School” contestant Megan Hauserman during the taping of a show's reunion.

It appears that Kelly Osbourne has a big heart after all, in spite of all her attacks against pop star singer Christina Aguilera whom she insulted with every occasion she had. Osbourne was part of the “Fashion for Relief” program on the 16th of September 2005 in New York, where along with other celebrities she raised funds in order to support the victims of the Hurricane Katrina.
