Katie Holmes opened up for Glamour magazine in its special 70th anniversary issue for April and thus we found out some quite interesting facts about her life as an actress, fashion designer, mother and wife of actor Tom Cruise.
“Becoming a mother has been the most amazing experience—in an instant you become strong. You have to be a little bit wiser; it’s the most important job you have in the world," she says referring to her daughter Suri. Moreover she talks about her marriage to hubby Tom Cruise in quite a sportsmanlike way, calling them “teammates”
When asked what Tom is really like, Katie responds with: "He loves women; he was raised with sisters. He's strong and intelligent and very, very funny." She also reveals that she and Tom love to spend time at home doing very ordinary things like playing board games, having pool parties and playing “The Three Little Pigs,” with Suri as the Big Bad Wolf.
Their team has the fun job of raising daughter Suri, something Katie says has strengthened her. But she admitted all the attention given her daughter is not positive. "Some of the stuff [people said] was such absolutely horrible things to say about a child. It was so uncalled for and so disgusting. Enough is enough," Katie tells the mag.
Holmes also said her husband has helped her adjust to motherhood in the spotlight.
As a consequence of her notoriety, another rumor Holmes is constantly dodging is the pregnancy one — something she tried once again to put to rest. "I'm not pregnant right now," she tells the forthcoming April issue of Glamour magazine.
