US Weekly reported Wednesday that US actress Kate Hudson, 29, and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong, 36, have separated after a three-month romance.
"There was no drama or ugliness they just decided to end things," the US magazine quoted a source close to the couple as saying. "There is no hatred, just sadness." There was no official confirmation of the split.
Armstrong and Hudson have been spotted frequently since mid-May, an unseparable presence at parties and cycling events. Neither has commented publicly about their relationship, but each had met the other's family.
Apparently they decided to end the relationship this past weekend while they were attending the three-day Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit in Columbus, Ohio.
Hudson's mother, actress Goldie Hawn, apparently gave her blessing to the pair over a shared meal in early July. Hudson's four- year-old son Ryder spent Father's Day brunch with both Armstrong and his biological father, Chris Robinson.
The multiple winner of the Tour-de-France and father of three children made headlines in 2003 with his divorce from Kristin Richard and relationship with singer Sheryl Crow. Two years later, the pair separated.
Since then, Armstrong has been linked to fashion designer Tory Burch and the 15-year-younger US actress Ashley Olsen.
