The crazy weather is everywhere, as a line of tornadoes came
across Kansas,
Wednesday night, leaving behind 2 dead people and other victims. It also
damaged some buildings at Kansas
State University.
According to The Associated Press, authorities reported that
a tornado made its way through northern Kansas,
killing two people. Sharon Watson, spokeswoman for the Kansas Adjutant
General's Department, said that one of the two dead persons was in a yard in
Chapman, in Dickinson County and the other one was found near a mobile home
in Jackson County.
Authorities reported that Chapman, a town located 1,400
miles east of Abilene had suffered the most damage and about 60 homes were
destroyed. The three town schools were also damaged by the tornado. 30
homes were seriously damaged and another 30 suffered minor damage, according to
the American Red Cross.
According to CNN, the storm also took the roof of a
fraternity house at the school in Manhattan,
Kansas, said Cheryl May, the
university's director of media relations. The university reported that there
were no injuries.
About 12 ambulances from other cities were called to help
take care of those affected by the tornado.
The victims’ names were not made public. Authorities said
that they were still searching for other victims.
