Joost wants to expand its content offer and in order to find
and secure the most entertaing content it has signed a partnership with Creative
Artists Agency (CAA), a leading talent and literary agency.
“Joost takes entertainment to the next level through its
converged television-Internet platform, offering consumers the best content
available via a superior interface,” said Michael Yanover, head of business
development at CAA. “CAA will provide Joost greater access to programming
through our relationships with networks, studios, record labels, artists and independently-controlled
content libraries. We are proud to play an important role in the development of
Joost.”
Joost, the ambitious project of broadcasting TV programs
over Internet, has signed already content distribution agreements with Turner
Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Hasbro, the National Hockey League (NHL),
Sports Illustrated (SI) and Sony Pictures Television (SPT), CBS and Viacom.
Earlier this month, Joost received around $45 million from
five backers, including the biggest Internet financing names in Silicon Valley, China
and Europe.
