Looks like the Jonas Brothers who already are a teenage sensation entirely on their own, have dreams of becoming a part of the “New Moon” soundtrack.
Based on Stephenie Meyer’s insanely successful vampire book series, the “Twilight” movie proved to be equally successful prompting the trio to offer their assistance in making the upcoming movie’s soundtrack.
In a statement to MTV, Nick Jonas said, “The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part (of the sequel) that would be great.” His brothers, Joe and Kevin agreed. The band, meanwhile, still need to actually sit down and watch “Twilight.”
“I haven't seen it,” Joe admitted. “But I have heard it's a great movie.”
“We're looking forward to seeing it,” Nick added. “We've been a little busy, so it's kinda hard to get the movies, but we'll see it.”
“Typically, we'll get the advance DVDs and watch them on plane rides or something,” Kevin said of the band's attempts to keep up with Hollywood's latest hits during their busy touring schedule. “So, hopefully, we'll do that.”
Made by independent studio Summit Entertainment with a reduced budget of around $37 million, “Twilight” became a blockbuster cashing in more than $356.8 million worldwide at the box office. Beside the huge pile of cash, the entire movie cast, including 18-year-old actress Kristen Stewart, who starred as Bella Swan, and Robert Pattinson, who played vampire Edward Cullen, transformed from working actors into the hottest celebrities of the moment over night.
Last November, the "Twilight" soundtrack opened in the top slot of the Billboard albums chart and continued its strong sales throughout the film's box-office run. The soundtrack featured such diverse bands as Muse, which Meyer credited for inspiring her while writing the books, Paramore, Perry Farrell, Linkin Park and Collective Soul.
