It appears that John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston are not a couple anymore. Even if it wasn’t confirmed yet, many sources said that the two have split.

According to U.K.’s Mirror, sources indicate that actress Jennifer Aniston, 39, and John Mayer, 30, have ended their relationship which started in April.

“They had a great time together but they are just in different places in their lives right now,” said a source.

Also, a friend of the singer said that Mayer is the kind of man to linger upon a relationship and he never “ends things with a clean slate,” adding that “he likes to dwell on these relationships and sort everything out before saying goodbye for good."

Apparently the couple wanted to take a break in order to see if they would become closer or not. A source said that there was some kind of tension between the actress and the singer as their relationship didn’t seem to be on the right track. Representatives for Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer didn’t comment on the news.

It seems that both Mayer and Aniston are looking and looking for the one but they are out of luck. While the actress’s ex husband Brad Pitt is happy with his new family, Jennifer Aniston seems to be unable to find the perfect guy for her. She reportedly dated Vince Vaughn and male model Paul Sculfor.

John Mayer had previously dated Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Vanessa Carlton and other stars.
