After breaking up with Taylor Swift over the phone, Joe Jonas, 19, is reportedly seeing "10,000 BC" actress Camilla Belle, 22, People.com reported.
Joe Jonas, who was dating country singer Taylor Swift until he unceremoniously dumped her via a phone call, quietly began dating actress Camilla Belle, best known for her work in Warner Bros.' prehistoric movie "10,000 B.C.". Taylor reportedly took the breakup very hard, and even went so far as to sing about it and refer to Joe as the only person who has ever hurt her deeply.
Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle met on the set of the Jonas Brothers' video "Love Bug," a source close to the singer told People magazine. "All the guys always had thought she was really pretty and that's why they asked her to be in it."
Although they clicked right away, the pair did not start dating right away, "It was only after doing the video that they began to date," the source added, but continue to keep their budding romance under wraps.
"They are not public about it but they've just been hanging out with their friends and Joe's brothers," the source said. "They are very private about it."
The important part is that the couple, who spent Halloween together, is having fun, and that Belle is "a really good girl and it seems they share a lot of the same characteristics and morals." Reps for Jonas and Belle had no comment.
The news comes upon Taylor Swift's confession that she and Joe Jonas, who never officially announced they were dating until their split, broke up during a 27-second phone call.
"I've written about [the split], and I write about my life ... that's just how I deal with things," she said last month in Ryan Seacrest's radio show. "It's tough and it's been tough." So tough, she penned a song about him, "Always and Forever." The song appears on her new album "Fearless," due Nov. 11.
The singer also admitted she was hurt by love only once and was not ready to rush into another relationship. "I'm trying to shake it off," she told Seacrest. "I'm not ready to jump in to anything with anybody. It wouldn't be fair to them. I'm not looking to find someone to fill a void."
As for the lesson she learned from dating Joe Jonas, Swift told Seacrest that she will refrain from dating people who are "not allowed to go out in public with me" or guys who "don't think my sense of humor is funny."
