Actress Jessica Alba and her boyfriend of three years are expecting their first child together, her representative confirmed exclusively to People magazine Wednesday.
Jessica Alba and boyfriend Cash Warren will welcome their child within the following six months, her rep confirmed exclusively to People magazine today.
“I can confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer,” says rep Brad Cafarelli.
The two have been together for a little more than three years, after meeting on the set of Alba’s movie “Fantastic Four.” Warren, 28, worked as a director’s assistant.
The 26-year-old actress may have been somewhat disappointed in her professional life what with the box office flops her most recent movies have proved to be, but she can now console herself with a blooming personal life. This is the first child for her.
Alba made her mark on Hollywood when she was cast in Fox’s sci-fi television series “Dark Angel” in 2000. The show aired for two years and helped the California native get noticed.
In 2005 she starred in the Frank Miller & Robert Rodriguez-directed “Sin City,” which grossed nearly $30 million in its opening weekend. She joined a cast of Hollywood A-listers including Bruce Willis, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, Benicio del Toro and Rosario Dawson.
Her next cinematic project was likewise successful (and was also her chance to meet the father of her future baby). The 2005 superhero film “Fantastic Four” was a box office hit despite less-than-kind review from movie critics.
Alba’s most recent appearances on the big screen have been the romantic comedy “Good Luck Chuck,” released this summer to dismal reviews and poor earnings at the box office, and “Awake,” a thriller released less than two weeks ago, which also did poorly at the box office.
If movies have not been a successful venture for Alba, she may do better on Broadway, as it has been reported that she is in talks to star in a revival of David Mamet's “Speed-the-Plow.”
