Popular 27-year-old Jessica Alba will take a break from her successful acting career as she gave birth, over the weekend, to a beautiful baby girl.

The set for the birth was prepared at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, California and there were no unexpected events.

Mrs. Alba announced the pregnancy in December alongside Cash Warren, the 29-year-old father to be, who she had been dating since 2004. The two met on the set of The Fantastic Four where she had one of the movie’s leading roles and Warren was the director’s assistant. After close to four years of dating, the couple married three weeks ago in a private ceremony.

The actress is thrilled about her new life, which even though involves a lot more effort than before it is totally rewarding. She explained for USA Weekend that the stress level over the past few months has been at an all-time high with several life-changing decisions such as having the baby, getting married and buying a house.

She admitted being extremely paranoid about breast-feeding, even more than giving birth and also, the emotional load brought by the pregnancy, which led to incredibly angry states or crying, confused her, as she was not used to having such reactions.

The two recently moved into a $4 million Beverly Hills mansion where they will begin their family adventure together.

Jessica Alba’s best known roles were in movies such as Honey, Sin City, The Fantastic Four and Into The Blue, also scoring major popularity points for her number one spot in FHM’s sexiest women in the world 2007 top and Maxim’s Hot 100 of 2006 supplement.
