It's only been a few days since Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins, but the fresh mother-of-two has already been released from the hospital.
According to J.Lo's obstetrician, the singer and her husband Marc Anthony took their twins home, where the two have reportedly set up a $120,000 nursery. For now, the two will be sharing an ocean-themed room stocked in English furniture and French-made cribs decked out in hand-embroidered bedding.
The tiny pair will also gaze upon 18-karat gilded trim and chandeliers in Jennifer and Marc Anthony’s Long Island home, as well as in the nurseries in their Bel Air and Fisher Island homes.
The 39-year-old singer gave birth to a baby girl and a baby boy last Friday. They are the first children for Lopez, and the fourth and fifth for Anthony, who already has two boys from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, a close friend of the couple told People that J.Lo has settled into her new role as a mom.
"[She] sounds very peaceful and happy and blissful," longtime friend Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas said. '"She said, ‘I can’t take my eyes off of them.'"
Sean "Diddy" Combs, who dated Lopez several years ago, also said she "is going to make a great mother."
"I'm going to send her some Sean John baby clothes," Combs, who also has twins, told People magazine, referring to his own clothing range.
"It's double the love, and it's also double the crying and the screaming, so it's a unique blessed situation. It's a rarity to have twins."
"She'll be alright," he added.
