Jennifer Garner, 36, gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles, on Tuesday. The infant’s name was not released, but this is Garner and Ben Affleck’s second child. A spokesperson for the family told People magazine that the little girl is healthy and everyone’s happy for her arrival.

Affleck, 36, and Garner also have a 3-year-old girl, Violet.

The 36-year-old actor will return to the theatres for the first time after a break of two years, to play in the romantic comedy, “He’s Just Not That Into You.” The relationship with Garner started out in July 2004, but both their marriage and their children have remained at very low-key.

A paparazzo struggled to get a picture of the two together after months they had started dating. The publicists of Garner and Affleck denied any connection between the two until they had made a public appearance at a Boston Red Sox game.

When “Juno” star turned 33, Affleck proposed to her with a 4.5 carat diamond ring from Harry Winston. They got married on June 29, 2005 at the Parrot Cay resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands, offering their guests a surprise party. Yet, the rumors about Garner being pregnant at that time were denied too, but both their publicists confirmed it after the two got married.

Garner didn’t change her name into Jennifer Affleck, although she had received a “Special Thanks” courtesy credit under the name on Affleck’s 2007 directorial debut movie, “Gone Baby Gone.”

With Garner being pregnant, the season’s episode order from “Alias” reduced from 22 to 17 as to let the actress take care of herself and her future little baby. Violet Anne Affleck was born on December 1, 2005 in Los Angeles and on July 17, 2008, Victor Garber, her co-star from “Alias” confirmed the actress’ second pregnancy.
