Some may think that this is a public policy strategy to
augment birthrate, as the continuous aging of the population of the globe is a
great worldwide problem. They might suspect that those responsible with the
public relations up at the governmental level have wrapped this public policy
into the glamour of celebrity, based on the power of example. If that is the
case, we might never find out, but we should be content that that the strategy
remains in the democratic limits and bears no resemblance to dictatorship.
What I’m babbling here about is the perpetual celebrity baby
boom. Until some years ago, it used to be trendy to have a minuscule dog. Now,
it’s fashionable to have kids. The more, the merrier. Maybe it’s nothing behind
this, maybe it’s just what these glamorous people want: a large family.
Just as Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, welcomed baby Gia
Zavala on Wednesday, their best friend couple announced that they are also
going to become parents. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner confirmed what has
been only speculation for some time: the pair is expecting their second child.
And Gia is the third baby for Matt and Luciana, being the sister of 2-year old
Isabella and 10-year old Alexia. Well, that’s a big difference from the
microscopic dog era, isn’t it?
Garner attended the 10th Anniversary Party for the Baby
Einstein line of books, toys and DVDs at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
At the event, Garner highlighted that the major project she was focusing was
what was growing in her belly.
The confirmation comes after weeks of rumors and
speculations; the actress even mocked the pregnancy allegations, saying that
she’d had too much at breakfast. “Oh I'm not pregnant. I just had a lot of
carbs for breakfast. It's just - what do they call it? A breakfast pouch?
Bunch?” she joked.
“It always makes me laugh when people say 'Is she?' 'Isn't
she?' It's like eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute,”
Garner added.
Jennifer Garner succumbed and confirmed her growing baby
bump at when an Access Hollywood’s reporter wished her the best for her baby.
“Thank you, we're so excited obviously. We've been through it before. It's all
good, it's great. I'm really excited,” the “Alias” star said.
Making reference to her first baby girl, Violet, she went on
joking “Yeah, been through it. It's all good, it's great. I'm really excited,”
she said. The actress didn’t disclose her due date or if they’re expecting a
boy or a girl.
Jennifer Garner will soon be seen starring alongside Matthew
McConaughey in “The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” and “This Side of Truth” with
Ricky Gervais.
