Jennifer Aniston to Guest Star on NBC’s “30 Rock”

Although since “Friends” ended four years ago Jennifer Aniston mainly concentrated on big screen productions, she will nonetheless revisit NBC, the network which made her famous for her Rachel Green role.

She is presently filming a guest appearance on the network’s sitcom “30 Rock,” the actress’ publicist Stephen Huvane confirmed to The Associated Press.

However, no further details were given about Jennifer Aniston’s role or the episode’s air date. “30 Rock,” starring Tiny Fey and Alec Baldwin, deals with the goings on behind the camera of a fictional live sketch comedy series.

The third season of “30 Rock” is due for release next month.

The Emmy Award-winning sitcom has featured numerous guest appearances by important figures of the movie industry. For instance, Jennifer Aniston’s co-star from “Friends,” David Schwimmer, appeared in an episode of the NBC series last season.

The 39-year-old actress has been mainly involved in film roles since the popular sitcom “Friends” ended after ten seasons. Nevertheless, she did appear in one episode of the FX series “Dirt,” starring Jennifer Aniston’s “Friends” fellow, Courteney Cox. The episode sparked a lot of controversy, as Aniston, who impersonated a lesbian, kissed the character played by Cox.

Jennifer Aniston, who lately lingered in the public eye for dating rocker John Mayer, can be seen in a fresh comedy entitled "Management," in which she plays a traveling art sales representative. The movie is due to debut at the Toronto Film Festival on September 7.
