Rumors that Jennifer Aniston and singer John Mayer are dating started spreading after the two were seen having a private lunch together in a Miami restaurant that opened just for them on Friday afternoon.

The duo arrived at the Michael's Genuine Food & Drink restaurant while it was closed between lunch and dinner hours, but the manager, Charles Bell, said he was happy to accommodate them.

The two stars were involved in a 90-minute private conversation, during which they were very familiar with each other, holding their heads close together and having a good time.

Aniston, who was in town filming her latest movie "Marley and Me" with Owen Wilson, ordered a chopped chicken salad, while Mayer had a Serrano ham sandwich. Aniston had some of Mayer's sandwich and the two then shared a chocolate and peanut butter dessert.

"I can't speculate on what kind of meeting it was but they looked happy and seemed to have a great time," Bell says, as quoted by People magazine.

Later the same day, the two were spotted at restaurant Casa Tua in South Beach, and they left the place a little before 1 a.m., with Mayer holding his arm around Aniston.

They were later noticed holding hands.

"We are very discreet here," the manager of Casa Tua told People. "That is why we have celebrity guests."

Grammy-winning singer John Mayer has previously dated other Hollywood beauties such as Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love-Hewitt.
