Jennifer Aniston kept quiet about the relationship between
her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie for a very long time. However,
she felt that it was time for her to open up and so she did, mainly commenting on
the details the current partner of her former spouse offered to Vogue magazine
approximately one year ago.
In an interview with the same publication, whose December
issue is due to hit the newsstands on November 19, Jennifer Aniston talks about
the information Angelina Jolie revealed in 2007 with regard to the beginnings
of her relationship with Brad Pitt, which started off on the sets of “Mr. &
Mrs. Smith” back in 2004, when Jennifer Aniston and the 44-year-old actor were
still together.
“There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a
time when I was unaware that it was happening,” the ex “Friends” star says,
adding that the subject Angelina Jolie opened up about was not a very suitable
matter of public discussion. “That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to
work every day? That was really uncool,” the 39-year-old explains, referring
not only to the interview Angelina Jolie offered to Vogue last year, but also
to the fact that she recently informed The New York Times that she and Brad
Pitt started their love story while filming for the 2005 action film.
Jennifer Aniston and the “Burn After Reading” star tied the
knot in July 2000 and made their separation public in January 2005.
Nevertheless, until the couple’s divorce in October, Brad Pitt and Angelina
Jolie made several appearances in public together.
In May 2006, the 33-year-old “Wanted” star gave birth to their
first child, daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. They now have six kids, including the
already famous Brangelina twins, who were born in July this year.
Jennifer Aniston told Vogue that she and her ex-husband are
getting on well, explaining that she has “nothing but absolute admiration for
him” and that she is very proud of him, as “he’s really done some amazing
things.”
When asked about the breakup, Jennifer Aniston said that everything
seemed indistinguishable, as the dark thoughts and regrets are “so faraway in
my mind,” adding that the split was good-natured.
The actress, who appears in the upcoming productions “Marley
& Me” and “He’s Just Not That Into You” also talked about the relationships
that followed her divorce from Brad Pitt. She told the magazine that Vince
Vaughn was her “defibrillator,” since he helped her forget the things that had
happened by offering her exactly what she needed.
As for on-and-off relationship with John Mayer, Jennifer
Aniston said that he was a “wonderful guy” and that they cared about each
other.
That’s what I call a decent confession. Good work, Jen!
