Britney Spears seemed to be getting her life back on track, pulling herself together after the media fiascos that have been following her during recent years. One of the most publicized aspects of her life was the apparent negligence with which she was treating her two sons.
One, she was caught on camera while supposedly running away from the paparazzi. She was driving her own car, and had her son on her lap, which is clearly against the law. For their own protection, children have to be seated in special baby car-seats and fastened in to avoid any incidents. On another occasion, the singer was photographed while tripping and almost dropping one of her sons, held quite precariously with only one arm.
Fortunately for the little boy, Britney’s bodyguard managed to catch the baby at the last moment and also help Britney regain her balance. The former teen-pop-queen lost custody of her sons in favor of her ex-husband, Kevin Federline – and it’s rare that a court grants custody to the father instead of the mother, which leads us to believe that the rumors about her alcohol and drug abuse, not to mention severe negligence, were quite true.
Recently, a new problem hit the Spears family, unfortunately again related to one of Britney’s sons. Britney Spears got permission to take both her sons, Jayden James (age 2) and Sean Preston (age 3) to her home in Kentwood, Louisiana.
Yesterday, it seems that Jayden suffered a seizure and was rushed to the hospital. A source cited that the child was taken to hospital when his family noticed that Jayden seemed to be “vague and unresponsive”. Without waiting for an ambulance, Britney took her son to the hospital, accompanied by the rest of her family, with the exception of her younger sister, Jamie-Lynn Spears, who drove her own car to the hospital, aiding Britney in escaping the intrusive eyes of the paparazzi that were following them.
In a statement posted on the singer’s
website, Spears’ family noted that the doctors said Jayden James “had a
reaction to something he ingested."
According to the statement the boy should have been released on Tuesday, but
the celebrity site TMZ posted a photo of Britney Spears departing the hospital
while holding the child on Monday evening.
According to some media reports Jayden James had an allergic reaction, but for
the moment a clear diagnosis hasn’t been released.
