ABC has announced that the 32-year-old account executive who
was rejected by Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas will become the new Bachelor. Jason
Mesnick looks more optimistic than ever and didn’t allow this experience darken
his perspectives on love.
Pappas is also happily in love with Bachelorette winner
Jesse Csincsak, a professional snowboarder. She had been rejected herself by
Brad Womack on the last season of Bachelor.
Mesnick is a single father to a 3 year
old boy named Ty. He broke the hearts of the viewers in May when he introduced
him to his desired wife to be, Pappas.
As far as his hobbies are concerned,
Jason enjoys swimming, golf, basketball and football. He's well traveled and
takes guitar and swing dance lessons. Also a big philanthropist, Jason
hopes to someday run his own children's charity.
The 13th season of "The Bachelor"
will debut in January on ABC when Mesnick will again search for romance
among 25 new bachelorettes.
ABC stated on Wednesday that the woman of his dreams is
someone who "has a real curiosity about the world, who loves life and can
find passion in life's smallest moments," as quoted by the Associated Press.
Casting calls are now being held, as producers of the
reality show are currently looking for eligible single women hoping for love
with their newest bachelor. They must also match his desires.
He is originally from Cleveland,
Ohio. When he was only eight
years old, Jason Mesnick moved to Washington.
Jason has been previously married, but he divorced two years ago.
