Jamie-Lynn Marie Spears, Britney's younger sister, has posed for a cover photo for OK! magazine, with her baby girl Maddie Briann Aldridge. She also opened up to the magazine about her motherhood experience, underlining that it was beneficial that she kept away from the shining lights of Hollywood.

"Around here, everyone has the same focus, the focus is family, and that's a good way to live," Jamie Lynn said. Apparently, she is much more responsible than her older sister and will probably be a better mother too. Although she was chastised for her pregnancy, in a culture which favors termination of teen pregnancies because they are economically inconvenient, Jamie Lynn may well represent the normality this society well needs.

Jamie Lynn said she would like to be a soccer mom, but since there is no soccer down South, she would also be OK as a softball mom, "driving the kids around."

Britney Spears’ younger sister, Jamie Lynn, gave birth to a baby girl in mid-June at a Mississippi hospital. She said that she planned to raise the baby in Louisiana because she wanted her baby to have a normal life. The two lovebirds have moved into their new $300,000 home in Liberty, Mississippi. The father of her baby is her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, 19.

Although the star of Nickelodeon’s popular TV show “Zoey 101” is only 17 years old, her relatives and friends are confident she will make a good mom. Jamie shocked everybody in December, when she announced she was expecting a child with Casey Alridge, a 19-year-old son of a Tennessee paper mill worker, whom she apparently met at a church. The two announced their engagement in March and will probably get married soon. It was rumored that Lynn's mother, Lynne Spears, already drafted a prenuptial agreement which would protect her daughter's finances in case the marriage goes kaput.

In early May, Jamie Lynn Spears has thrown a baby shower on Saturday at her parents’ home in Kentwood, La., and her big sister Britney was also invited. After being apart for several months, the two sisters finally reunited in their hometown. Britney had not visited Kentwood since the funeral of her aunt at the beginning of 2007. She flew into the town aboard a private jet on Friday, May 2, together with her father and co-conservator Jamie Spears.

Paparazzi-filled helicopters circled above the family home, while the local sheriff’s office struggled to keep photographers on the ground at a distance. About 30 guests were invited at the very intimate celebration, People magazine informs.
