Jack Kemp is an American optician and former professional football player, being a quarterback for 13 years in the National Football League, Canadian Football League and American Football League.

Kemp is also well known for being Bob Dole’s running mate in the 1996 presidential elections. Kemp’s political career begun with nine terms as Congressman for Western New York, from 1971 to 1989. Kemp has also served in the Bush administration as Housing Secretary.
