Jack Black generously spilled the beans on Angelina Jolie’s
behalf while in Cannes
last month but there’s fresh goods coming out of his oven as well.
Well, his wife Tania Haden’s to be more metaphorically precise.
People magazine learned over the weekend that the funnyman’s family has
extended.
“I have a new one,” the 38-year-old comedian said Sunday
during a press conference in Beverly Hills for his new movie, “Kung Fu Panda.”
“It’s eating every three hours,” the proud papa continued.
The baby has been named Jack, like his daddy, reports E!
Online. Black and Haden, who is a cellist and one of the triplet daughters of
the late jazz great Charlie Haden, are already parents to Samuel, who turns 2
in June.
The actor and the musician have been married since 2006. Little
Jack was born about a week ago.
It was not long before this happy event that Black made the
trek to France,
where his upcoming animated film “Kung Fu Panda” premiered at the 61st Cannes
Film Festival.
He and costar Angelina Jolie (vocal costar, as both lend
their voices to characters) were being interviewed together by “Today” host
Natalie Morales when the actor commented, “You’re gonna have as many as [the]
Brady Bunch when you have these.”
Morales picked up the valuable bit of information and asked
Jolie whether she was expecting two babies, to which the actress gracefully
replied, “Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already. Well, Jack’s just confirmed
it actually.”
Both Black and Jolie lend their voices to animal characters,
Po the Great Panda and Master Tigress,
respectively, in the animated film which opens in North American theaters June
6. Directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne, it also includes the voices of Dustin
Hoffman, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Jackie Chan and Lucy Liu, among others.
Black first revealed he was expecting his second child
earlier this year, while promoting another movie, the comedy “Be Kind Rewind.” He
told reporters at the time that he had adopted a “day-by-day” strategy to
parenting.
“I've been told that two children is three times as hard as
one child, but then strangely three children is easier than one,” he joked.
