Jennifer Lopez has been very coy about rumors she may be pregnant with Marc Anthony’s child but really, they’re just playing with us.
The singing couple was at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Friday, as part of their ongoing joint tour. It has been an eventful tour, with abundant rumors as to 38-year-old J-Lo’s pregnancy.
Anthony only added fuel to the fire Friday, by telling the audience “It's a real personal song,” before offering fans his own rendition of Journey's “Faithfully.” He added, “This song has a whole new significance.”
He may have been referring to suggestive lyrics in the song such as “They say that the road ain't no place to start a family,” that concert goers did not fail to take note of, cheering happily.
Jennifer attracted attention from the very beginning in a very specific way: audiences and critics immediately noticed her uncharacteristically loose stage clothes, cautious dance moves and, more recently, not so high heels.
Friday evening, Jennifer’s belly was visibly rounder. She also suggestively told the crowd, “This is such a special time.”
Neither Marc nor Jennifer have confirmed pregnancy rumors so far. The two, married since June 2004, are supposedly adding twins to their family. U.S. magazine In Touch reported in mid-September that the singing couple learned they were parents-to-be when they visited Jennifer’s Beverly Hills gynecologist, fertility specialist Dr Robert Katz. She is reportedly due in spring.
Marc and Jennifer starred in “El Cantante,” a biopic about salsa legend Hector Lavoe, released in early August this year. Marc stars as the title character, while Jennifer plays Lavoe’s wife, Nilda.
The musical couple’s joint tour, called “En Concierto,” debuted in New Jersey on Sept. 29. and ends Nov. 4, in Florida.
Jennifer's new album “Brave,” was released last week, failing to break through in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. It debuted at No. 12, with sales of 53,000. Billboard noted that all of J-Lo’s previous six studio albums, including this year's Spanish-language “Como Ama Una Mujer,” debuted in the top 10, with four of those peaking in the top two places.
