It seems that J.Lo can do it all. In spite of the fact that
Jennifer Lopez gave birth to her two twins, Max and Emme, just seven months ago,
the 39-year-old star completed a gruelling triathlon in Malibu this weekend. The
actress/singer/dancer/fashion designer pumped her arms in the air as she
finished the charity race in an impressive two hours, 23 minutes and 28
seconds.
“I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made
it out of the water but, more amazing than that, I feel really great that we
raised $127,000 for the Children’s Hospital,” the sexy celebrity said.
J.Lo’s husband, singer Marc Anthony, watched the competition
from the sidelines and even kissed his wife between the biking and running
parts of the Sunday race, which also included a swimming portion.
Jennifer Lopez had dazzling company, as fellow actor Matthew
McConaughey also took part in the race, which raised a total of $950,000, out
of which $127,000 went to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
After reaching the finishing line, J.Lo and her husband got
on a plane and flew to New York in order to
celebrate Marc Anthony’s 40th birthday at the Bowery Hotel in the East Village.
Well-known figures, such as Brooke Shields, Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Simmons,
attended the event.
The new mommy reportedly decided to take part in the
triathlon when she was eight months pregnant with the twins. “I was beached
like a whale,” Jennifer Lopez said on ABC’s “Good Morning America” last month. “I
was watching TV, and I saw a triathlon, and I said, ‘You know what? I think I
could do that. That would be great for me to do,’” she added.
Good work, J.Lo!
