Foxy Brown is not getting away with violating her probation after attacking a Brooklyn neighbor with her BlackBerry: the judge has put her behind bars.
Rapper Foxy Brown has been getting herself in one too many illegal situations, determining a New York judge to order that she be locked up until her next status hearing on Sept. 7.
Foxy notoriously used her BlackBerry in late July to hit a neighbor she was quarreling with over the loud music coming out of her car’s stereo. The woman reportedly needed medical attention and ended up with a swollen lip, loose teeth and a black eye.
She filed a complaint against the 27-year-old rapper. Foxy, real name Inga Marchand, turned herself in to authorities and was booked on charges of felony assault in the second degree, assault in the third degree, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon.
She was placed on probation and set free on $5,000 bail.
One week ago, Foxy was at odds with the law once more. She was in New Jersey, when police pulled her over for not heeding a stop sign. The rapper gave the officers false information and then confessed her lie and told them her real data. She was driving on a suspended license.
She was taken into custody and issued seven traffic tickets, reports E!Online.
The probation violation determined Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson to place Foxy in custody.
Jackson has had a handful from Foxy. In 2004, she attacked two employees in a nail salon. At the time, she was sentenced to three years probation and anger management classes.
Earlier this year, her temper got the best of her once more, as she threw hair glue at an employer in a beauty salon and then opposed the police officer that was called to the shop. She was charged with battery and obstruction of justice.
The judge ordered her to continue attending anger management classes and take drug tests periodically, continuing her probation.
Jack Ryan, a spokesperson with the New York City Department of Probation, told E!Online that, come Sept. 7, when Foxy’s hearing has been set, the judge could sentence her to a year of jail.
“She could sentence her up to the maximum that she would've gotten if she didn't receive probation or anything less than that,” Ryan told E!Online. Her original sentence for having attacked the nail salon employees in 2004 would have amounted to 1 year behind bars.
Whatever the judge decides, there seems to be a new factor that she needs to take into consideration: Foxy Brown is three-months pregnant, according to the New York Post. The paper quotes Foxy as saying: “I'm getting married in September. I'm pregnant,” to other customers while in a Manhattan Bed Bath & Beyond.
