The musicians’ family is enlarging with another member. Will
he sing, too? Thirty-eight-year old Gwen Stefani and her hubby, 40-years
old Gavin Rossdale welcomed their second baby on Thursday. It is the second
baby boy for them. The parents have already picked a name for the newborn: Zuma
Nesta Rock Rossdale. (Good-bye, obsolete Johns!)
Zuma was born on August, 21 soon after noon, at 12:45 p.m.
at the Cedars Sinai
Medical Center
in Los Angeles.
He was weighting 8.5 pounds.
The arrival of the new baby was confirmed by the couple’s
publicist. “Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy,” read the
statement issued by the pair’s rep.
Stefani and Rossdale tied the knot in 2002. Their first baby
together is Kingston,
who was born in May 2006. Rossadale is also the father of 18-year old model
Daisy Lowe, whom he had with former frontwoman of “Power,” Pearl Lowe.
Douglas Rossdale (Gwen’s father-in-law) has first spilled
the beans about the second pregnancy of the artist in January. Back then, he
told to The Sun “They and the whole family are delighted,” confirming the ...
unconfirmed.
Later, Gwen Stefani talked about her being preggers again
and disclosed some information about No Doubt’s reunion on the message board of
the band’s web site. “Feels crazy to be pregnant all over again!!!!!” she
wrote. “We have been spending every day up in the little studio in our house,
trying to write music. We have so much fun together. The songwriting part is a
bit slow on my part. ... I think it has something to do with the baby in my
belly, but I'm sure it is all of the process, and I really believe this could
be the most inspired No Doubt record so far. Can't wait to see what happens,”
she added.
Gwen Stefani earned her first musical successes while a
member of No Doubt; she also launched her solo career in 2004, with her album
“Love Angel Music Baby.” Gavin Rossdale belonged to former rock group, Bush, he
was also the lead singer and guitarist of Institute. Well, Kingston and Zuma have an outstanding
artistic heritage in their DNA to become themselves famous.
This year, Stefani and the boys from No Doubt expressed the
desire to get back together and release a new album, the first in seven years
of pause. Their reunion album was planned to be released early in 2009;
however, it’s unclear if the newborn may play a role in a possible delay of the
launch. No Doubt’s album “Tragic Kingdom,” which included iconic hits such as
“Don’t Speak” or “Just A Girl” remains one of the best selling of the
decade.
