Are Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson really a couple?
All the buzz around the nature of the relationship between the
actress and the disc jockey was brought down many times by the stars’
representatives, who kept on denying that the two women were involved in a
romantic relationship. However, convincing or not, they could not stop the
rumors and gossip with regard to the subject.
Women who love each other in that much-hunted way is a
long-debated topic of discussion, which certainly cannot be left out if the
people involved are two controversial celebrities.
We found out that Lindsay Lohan’s dad hates Samantha, that
he considers she is a bad influence for his daughter, that Lindsay’s
alcohol-related problems may go back to the beginning of her so-called friendship
with the DJ, but we never really got to discover whether Lindsay and Samantha form
a real couple.
One could guess of course, but the more sure you are about
something, the more you need a confirmation. Thus, here it comes. On Monday,
Lindsay Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, vehemently tried to kill
rumors that claimed the actress was engaged to Samantha Ronson and rejected all
such reports.
However, Lindsay Lohan shows up and messes up all of her
publicist’s work. On Monday night’s episode of the “Loveline” syndicated radio
show, Samantha Ronson called in to talk about her friend DJ AM, who is still
recovering after suffering severe burns in a plane crash which took place last
weekend.
After telling Ted Stryker, the show’s host, that DJ AM had
e-mailed her on Sunday and said that he was “doing better,” and paying tribute
to the four people who died in the crash, including the pilots, Samantha Ronson
passed the phone to her so-called friend Lindsay Lohan. The 22-year-old actress
wanted to say how scared she was when she found out about the plane crash in
which Travis Barker, ex-Blink 182 drummer, and DJ AM were seriously injured.
“It’s very saddening, but thank God that the guys are alive.
They have amazing guardian angels,” she said.
Nevertheless, the best is yet to come. Out of the blue, the
show’s host raised a very personal question, which would have normally upset
Lindsay Lohan and which she would have surely denied if she hadn’t hung up.
However, she answered this time and felt no shame in telling
the truth.
“You guys, you and Samantha, have been going out for how
long now?” Ted Stryker asked.
“Like two years, one year, five months, two months?” he
insisted, while the “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls” star waited and laughed
nervously.
“For a very long time,” she confessed at last, putting an
end to all rumors and gossip.
“I hope you guys stay together. You’re a very lovely-looking
couple,” the host told Lindsay Lohan.
“Thank you very much,” the actress replied.
So that’s about it, folks. Mystery unraveled! We had the verdict
in out hands for a long time, but no one pleaded guilty.
Lindsay Lohan and 31-year-old Samantha Ronson have been
living together since May, but avoided to make clear the nature of their
relationship. Although Lohan sometimes referred to Ronson by calling her “my
girlfriend,” all of the hints were given in a lighthearted manner.
Who knows? Maybe they will walk in the steps of Portia de
Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres soon.
