Another famous name can be added on the impressive list of
celebrities who have seen it double. Lisa Marie Presley and her husband,
musician Michael Lockwood, welcomed two baby girls on October 7, according to
her publicist, Cindy Guagenti.
Guagenti said that the twins saw light for the first time on
Tuesday at 2.46 p.m. and that they
weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and 5 pounds, 2 ounces, respectively.
Elvis Presley’s daughter gave birth to her own offspring
through C-section and she and the twins whose names have not been disclosed are
said to be “happy and healthy” at their home.
The baby girls are the first children together for Lisa
Marie Presley and her 47-year-old husband, whom she married in Japan
a couple of years ago. The singer was also married to musician and actor Danny
Keough, Michael Jackson and Nicholas Cage. In addition, she has two other
children from her first marriage, Danielle Riley, 19, and Benjamin Storm, 15.
The 40-year-old singer and songwriter first disclosed her
pregnancy last March after a British newspaper published several not-so-heartwarming
snaps of her and a description implying that she may have taken over her rock’n’roll
dad’s legendary appetite.
The newspaper eventually released an apology “for any
distress caused.”
It definitely runs in the family, however, as Lisa Marie’s
famous father was a twin, while her mom, Priscilla Presley, has a pair of twin
brothers.
