Jessica Simpson and football star Tony Romo are officially dating after the pop singer turned actress popped up at the Dallas Cowboys’ Sunday game sporting a t-shirt with Romo’s number.

While her movie career isn’t making any progress, her latest movie "Blonde Ambition" going straight to DVD, Jessica Simpson’s private life is still in the limelight.

However, her appearance at the game might not have been a very inspired choice, as her boyfriend gave the worst performance of the season throwing 3 interceptions and 13/36 for 214 and no touchdown passes along the way. The perky blonde is now facing a wave of criticism from superstitious sports fans who began to wonder if she was bad luck to Romo’s team which lost to the Philadelphia Eagles with a 10-6 score.

According to reports, as Romo left the field after the game ended, one female fan reportedly shouted at him "Worry about the game, not your girlfriend!"

Close sources to Simpson appeared appalled by fans’ claims insisting that Romo "played a great game on Thanksgiving and she was there."

Also attending Sunday’s game were Romo’s parents, who accepted the team’s Bob Lilly Award on their son’s behalf. It was the first game for his father, Ramiro, since undergoing surgery for prostate cancer earlier this season.

Last December, Romo was dating another blonde starlet, American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. This time last year she was actually in a luxury box when Dallas played Philadelphia.

Simpson and Romo sparked rumors of a possible romance last month when Simpson and Romo  spent Thanksgiving together with her family.
