The device was presented at the Intel Developer Forum in Taipei where the company also gave some technical details regarding the performances of the upcoming MID.

According to Intel, the device will consist of a system-on-a-chip, which Intel codenamed "Lincroft," which will come with a 45nm processor, graphics card, memory controller and encoding/decoding video capabilities. The upcoming Intel gadget is believed to be available for purchase sometime in 2009 or 2010 and it will certainly impose a new standard for ultra-portable internet devices.
