Motorola’s Beijing gallery-inspired event this week shed light on its latest creation in terms of camera phones, the MOTOZINE ZN5. The ZN5 is the result of a partnership between a leader in telecommunications and a trendsetter in imaging, and is the first mobile phone to incorporate Motorola’s ModeShift Technology with Kodak’s Imaging Technology.
The two companies tried to incorporate the quality of an imaging device with the convenience of a mobile phone, while at the same time offering users easy access and content-sharing possibilities as they please.
The ZN5 addresses creative consumers, who not only want to be the photographer, but also the retoucher, the exhibitor and the critic, as Jeremy Dale, corporate vice president of Motorola Inc., pointed out.
Based on Kodak’s Imaging Technology, the ZN5 focuses primarily on its camera capabilities. Its ultra-fast 5 megapixel camera, which rivals Sony Ericsson’s CyberShot technology, transforms the phone into a slick camera in a split second.
The auto-focus, Xenon flash quality camera offers multi-capture modes, such as multi-shot and panorama, turning any photo shooting experience into a fun and easy one.
Sharing is just as easy on the multimedia device, as users will be able to view photos right from the home screen. With instant access and easy uploading, the ZN5 provides users with a wide set of options for sharing pictures with friends and family around the world.
However, ZN5 is not all about the camera. Motorola couldn’t have neglected an aspect that bothers most of us on a regular basis: the shouting and desperate efforts to hear the person on the other end of the line.
With the help of Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology, callers will be able to hear and be heard in noisy environments, the company said. In addition to that, the ZN5 offers GSM and WLAN support, as well as SMS, MMS, IM and personal e-mail.
