As I have predicted yesterday, viewers voted gay stripper David Hernandez off American Idol last night, confirming that his primary talent is not singing. He can now go back to doing what suits him best: giving lap dances at his former workplace, Dick's Cabaret in Phoenix or elsewhere.

Not only he sang lousy on Tuesday night, which prompted Simon Cowell to say that his rendition of "I Saw Her Standing There" was "corny verging on desperate," but he also kept being in denial about his past. In his opening clip he kept talking about having quit his job at "Pizza Bistro"!

Idol officials said they were not judgmental about his pre-Idol job, most viewers probably were rather intrigued than put off by his nude dancing at a gay men's club, but it seems that David himself is part of a minority of people embarrassed by the revelations.

VFTW reports that not only did David Archuleta meet with Idol producers during season one, but his dad, Jeff Archuleta, has spent the last 5 years working with American Idol and Star Search performers through his company Arch Music Group. They will investigate further this connection and they promise to report later their findings.

Meanwhile, Overmyer, my personal favorite, who also is the Vote for the Worst female pick, performed well and rocked “You Can’t Do That,” winning her praises from Simon who said he considers Amanda a breath of fresh air on the show. Indeed, she is, and without her American Idol would be a real monotonous bore.

Amanda is safe, nice work Worsters and Amanda fans! [...] We thought staged calls from crew families were the lamest thing in the episode. Then Katharine McPhee sadly outsang the entire top 12 even though she sucks ass. Pathetic. And next week they're singing more Beatles songs? Well, since this week was so bad, we expect next week to be another VFTW victory. - reads the Vote for the Worst website
