A Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, best known for liposuction, was accused of using the fat he collected from his patients to power up his and his girlfriend’s diesel cars. According to specialists the conversion of fat into fuel is possible, and some say there are attempts at performing this technique, using beef tallow and pig lard with other sources like soybean oil to make biodiesel.
Alan Bittner, the Beverly Hills doctor, is investigated by the state's public health department because he was accused in several turns by his patients of letting his girlfriend to perform liposuction without a medical license, causing physical damage to some of the patients.
The latest accusations, of using fat from his patients to power up his car, if proven to be true will be regarded as a law violation, as it is illegal to use human medical waste to power vehicles, according to California law. The whole situation seems absurd and cut from a bad, cheap comedy.
Nobody knows yet if the doctor indeed used the fat from his patients to make fuel for two cars and though the science of making fuel from fat is valid, why would be the reasons to do this?
Animal or vegetable fat contains triglycerides that can be extracted and turned into diesel by someone who knows chemistry and is aware of the different combinations to be done. Is the fuel crisis so bad that doctors are now illegally using medical human waste to power their vehicles?
