Hudson Punches Hathaway On Set

Today was the premiere of a new comedy movie, starring Hollywood sweethearts Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, regulars on romantic comedies.

Usually, such comedies lack originality, as they usually entail a fixed scenario – boy meets girl, they fall in love, they fight, they get back together, happy ending, credits.
For “Bride Wars,”, however, the script has an original plot – two best friends schedule their wedding on the exact same day.

Although the two actresses are friends in real life, and they would most probably never schedule their weddings on the same day, there have been some small incidents on the set. The movie features a very unsurprising catfight between the two characters, Liv (Kat Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway). The two actresses were fully immersed in their roles, and Kate Hudson took things a little too far as she punched Anne Hathway while they were filming the scene. What made it worse was that Hudson was also wearing a ring sporting a huge rock.

According to the actress, she punched her co-star pretty hard in the face. Anne Hathaway, although a bit surprised by the intensity of the punch, asked Hudson to go on as she was very into the scene.

Kate Hudson told the story about this behind-the-scenes incident on the Rachael Ray Show, where she also talked about her son, Ryder, aged 5, who apparently knows all the lyrics to Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.”
