You probably know Howie Mandel as one of Canada’s most successful stand-up comedians. In addition, Howie Mandel is a television host and he also has a career in acting. Except for his notoriety as a stand-up comedian, Howie Mandel is known to the American public as the host of popular game show Deal or No Deal on NBC, but he also hosted the syndicated and Canadian counterparts of said game show.
Before starting to work as a television host, Howie Mandel gained popularity after he played a part on another NBC production, medical drama St. Elsewhere. To the young audience, he is famous for creating and starring in the cartoon series Bobby’s World. Some of you may also recall the voice of Gizmo in Gremlins and Gremlins 2 – that was also Howie Mandel.
The star, now aged 53, has unfortunately been recently hospitalized in a Canadian medical facility. According to a statement issued by his publicist on Tuesday, Mandel was hospitalized due to him having an irregular heartbeat.
Despite this being a potentially life-threatening condition, the hospital and the doctors reported that Howie Mandel is feeling better. In fact, doctors are so optimistic about his recovery from suffering from an irregular heartbeat that they are considering releasing Howie Mandel tomorrow, especially since he didn’t even suffer a full-fledged heart-attack, as some ill—published reports have stated so far.
