How Will the $99 iPhone Change the Market?

Analysts have already begun to test how the new $99 iPhone will hit the markets. Some reports stated that Apple is ready to release the “magic” phone this summer and tech analysts now have to take into consideration the importance of this event on the mobile and music market.

Apple’s feature-lite $99 iPhone will surely represent a great impact for the tech market, especially for such a small price which will turn the iPhone into something affordable for everyone.

Yet, no matter how much it will cost, the $99 iPhone has to have something to give to its buyers. Analysts say that the phone will be a total success from this side of the story too. According to their evaluation, the buyers of the new iPhone will also be the winners.

This cheaper device will have the basic characteristics of Apple’s original iPhone, including its operating system, the multitouch screen and the music player. Yet, the $99 iPhone won’t be provided with the 3G and GPS radios. But the screen will measure the same 480x320 touch screen and will have the same form.

What analysts suggested it would have been better for the $99 iPhone was an improved camera. The previous studies made on people’s reactions to the main iPhone had generated a lot of ridiculous statements about its camera. Yet, the $99 iPhone will have little change so it is expected to be a major success.

Also the music device market will be turned upside down after the iPhone is released, as it will surely be a good alternative to the good old MP3 Player. There is the Shuffle for example, which costs $79 but it doesn’t have the attractive form of the iPhone.

Analysts also added that the iPhone could be a rival to phones such as Sony Ericsson W350 and other music phones from AT&T and T-Mobile, such as the Nokia 5310, the Nokia 7510, and Nokia 5610.
