Following his wife’s demands to half of his money, Hulk Hogan fired back at his wife in a petition claiming she can support herself.
In her divorce papers filed last week, Linda Hogan asked for half of all assets, including the couple's Belleair mansion and their Clearwater Beach home, both in Pinellas County, Florida, plus alimony and child support for the couple’s 17-year-old son, Nick.
Hulk Hogan filed his own petition under his real name, Terry Bollea, saying his wife is capable of supporting herself and their son, who is old enough to decide with whom he will live and that "it would be in the best interest for the parties to have shared parental responsibility." However, Linda requested that Nick's primary residence be hers.
The properties are reported to have a combined value of around $10 million. Bollea's petition also mentions "numerous liabilities, contingent liabilities, obligations and debts which must be resolved as part of any equitable distribution that may be accomplished by the court."
The Hogans, who starred together with their two kids, Nick, 17, and Brooke, 19, for fours seasons in the VH1 reality show "Hogan Knows Best," have been married for 24 years.
In the meantime, the Hogans must also deal with Nick’s situation, who is facing a felony charge of reckless driving with serious bodily injury. Police said he was racing his Toyota Supra just before the crash that left his passenger John Graziano with a serious brain injury.
