Heidi Montag’s mom is not at all satisfied with her new
son-in-law, as she considers her daughter’s secret Mexico elopement last month “the
biggest mistake” of the “Hills” star’s life.
In addition, Darlene Egelhoff told Us Weekly that she does
not give her daughter’s marriage more than “six months.” I think her statement
is a little bit exaggerated, since half a year represents a long period of
time, at least for the reality TV couple.
She said that Heidi Montag’s significant other, 25-year-old
Spencer Pratt, was “manipulative” and made the most of the power he had over his
current wife.
“I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It
wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged,” she told the magazine. Was Heidi
Montag really dragged down the aisle?
The assertion does not seem very plausible, as the
22-year-old explains in the new issue of the publication that she loves Spencer
Pratt and that they clandestinely tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas on November
20 in order to stay away from family drama and scandals.
Heidi Montag’s hubby did not remain silent and said that his
mother-in-law should “take a real fat chill pill and be happy for her
daughter.”
Darlene Egelhoff, who is angry with Spencer Pratt for making
her daughter skip the Thanksgiving family gathering, claims that he wants to
have control over Heidi rather than be her lawfully wedded husband.
Heidi Montag’s mom and Spencer Pratt have had several
altercations on “The Hills,” but this one appears to be the bitterest yet.
